Friday thoughts

    So, last Sunday July 17, 2016 I decided to get back on weight watchers program. I am not going to meetings, and I am following the smart points system because that is the program I was on when I went to the meetings and I like it. I do not eat weight watcher frozen foods, apart from the ice cream, or ice cream bars once in a while. I already had the smart points calculator, but if you don't you can go on eBay and get one pretty cheap. I also downloaded the happy scale app so I can log my weight as I go. I am real surprised that in the last 6 days I lost a total of 7.4 lbs!!!! Woohoo! I have been really strict on my points and at work we have been extremely busy, and I rarely have a chance to sit down. (I am an ER nurse). I work 8 or 12 hr midnight shifts. I don't lose weight very easily so this comes as a huge surprise to me. 

       I also want to start some exercise from the gym into my routine. I have a gym membership which I have gone twice since February when I signed up. next week that will change. I need to drink more water....I have been drinking diet pop, and I don't need a lecture on the bad side effects of diet pop! You do what you have to do to get started on weight loss, and then you tweak it to make it more healthy as you go. I know for myself, I cannot just cut everything out all at once and be successful. I have focused a lot on fresh fruit, and turkey breast. I still incorporate my chocolate fix every now and again. So...this week I am 7.4 lbs down. Let's see how this week goes. I would like to make Friday's my day to blog and give my thoughts for the week. See you next Friday!
